About Us

The Play Station is owned and operated by Olivia Carpus and Garrison Mull, lifelong residents of Milan. Olivia has always loved working with children and helping families. She has a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children for many years in different capacities. She spent 3 years as an assistant teacher in the toddler room at Paddock’s Early Childhood Center and an additional year as a nanny for a young toddler before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She has also been volunteering in the children’s rooms at her church for over 15 years. Through all these experiences, Olivia has learned many ways to create age-appropriate activities for children that will not only help them to develop, but will also be fun!

As a stay-at-home mom, Olivia discovered that her young kids frequently needed somewhere to get energy out, and living in Michigan, there was very often weather that wouldn’t allow them to simply go to the park. She spent a lot of time driving to other indoor playgrounds and wishing there was a closer option. In May of 2022, Garrison (Olivia’s brother) agreed this was something Milan needed, and the idea for The Play Station was born! Olivia and Garrison were able to secure the building in December of 2022 and The Play Station officially opened on September 30, 2023.
